AutoNorth Reviews: Rated 5.0 by North Bay Drivers

AutoNorth Auto Repair is a North Bay shop rated 5.0 across 24 Google reviews, built from scratch since it opened on Cholette St in September 2025. This page collects what customers have said, explains the two structural decisions that produced that rating rather than claiming credit for it, and offers a short guide to reading auto repair reviews generally, because a star rating on its own is one of the easier things in this trade to misread.

The Rating

What Do AutoNorth's Customers Actually Say?

AutoNorth Auto Repair is rated 5.0 across 24 Google reviews, from roughly 2,000 vehicles worked on since the shop opened in September 2025. For a shop that opened on Cholette St in September 2025, every one of those reviews came from a customer who found the place for the first time.

5.0
24 Google reviews

"My wife's car needed brakes done. They took us in right away, got them done very quickly and at a very good price. Service was amazing and friendly. It's where I'm taking my car from now on."

Jason, Google review

More reviews are being added to this page. In the meantime the full set is on AutoNorth's Google listing and on Facebook.

Why It Happened

How a New Shop Gets to 5.0

Not by asking nicely. AutoNorth's own explanation is two structural decisions, both made before the first customer walked in.

  • Technicians are paid straight time, not flat rate. Nobody earns more by rushing your vehicle or by finding you extra work. Most complaints about this trade trace back to a pay structure, and AutoNorth does not run that one. More on why.
  • You see photographs before you approve anything. The digital inspection report sends photos and video of your own vehicle by text and email, grouped by priority, and you approve or decline each item from your phone.
  • The answer is allowed to be no. A report that tells you a set of pads has another season on it is the same report that tells you when they do not. That only works if both answers are available.
  • Dealership training without the dealership. A Toyota-certified Master Technician with hybrid certification, in an independent shop, at an independent shop's overhead.
Reading Reviews

How to Read Auto Repair Reviews Without Getting Fooled

Star ratings are easy to game and hard to interpret. What a review says is far more useful than what it scores, and a handful of details separate the real ones from the rest.

  • Look for the specific job. "Great service" tells you nothing. "They took us in right away and got the brakes done" tells you what happened and to whom.
  • Look for the price comment. People are specific about money when they were surprised in either direction. It is one of the harder things to fake convincingly.
  • Read the negative ones properly. A shop with no negative reviews at all is either very new or the reviews are not real. What matters is whether the shop replied and what it said.
  • Check the dates. A cluster of reviews in one week and nothing either side is worth a second look. Steady reviews over months are the honest shape.
  • Weigh a repeat customer heavily. "It's where I'm taking my car from now on" is a stronger signal than five stars with no words attached.

Apply all of that to this page too. It is a shop's own website, so read what the customers actually wrote rather than the number at the top.

If It Went Wrong

Tell AutoNorth Before You Tell Google

If something was not right, call the shop first. Not because a bad review is unwelcome, but because a review cannot fix your vehicle and a phone call sometimes can.

  • Call (705) 472-6060 or text (705) 571-4391 and say what happened. Sooner is easier than later, for both sides.
  • You have the report. The inspection sits in your email with photos and dates, which makes working out what happened a lot simpler than remembering a conversation.
  • Then leave the review either way. Honest reviews, including critical ones, are what make the rest of them worth reading. A shop that only wants the good ones is telling you something.

And if it went well, saying so publicly genuinely helps a shop that is under a year old. It takes a minute.

Leaving One

How to Leave a Review That Actually Helps Someone

Most reviews are useless because they are vague. A few specifics turn a five-star rating into something the next person can actually act on.

  • Say what the job was. Brakes, a safety certificate, winter tires, a check engine light. Someone searching for that exact thing is who your review is for.
  • Say what happened, in order. How fast you got in, what you were told, whether the price matched the quote. The sequence is the useful part.
  • Mention the money honestly. Not the number if you would rather not, but whether it landed where you expected. That is the single thing readers want most and get least.
  • Mention anything that went wrong and how it was handled. A review describing a problem that got fixed properly is worth more than one describing no problems at all.
  • Two sentences is plenty. A short specific review beats a long vague one every time.

Reviews live on the shop's Google listing and Facebook page, both linked above and in the footer of every page here.

Where They Live

Where to Find AutoNorth Reviews

On platforms the shop does not control, which is the only place a review is worth reading. Nothing on this page is a substitute for going and looking.

  • Google. The 5.0 rating and all 24 reviews sit on AutoNorth's Google listing, alongside the map, the hours and the photos.
  • Facebook. The shop posts real work there, which is its own kind of evidence. Job photos are harder to fake than a paragraph.
  • Word of mouth in North Bay. Unscientific and still the strongest signal in a town this size. Ask somebody who has had work done.
  • And the inspection report. Once you have had one job done you stop needing reviews, because you can see the photographs of your own vehicle. That is the whole idea.

A shop under a year old has a short record by definition. Read what there is, then judge the rest on the first visit.

Straight Answers

Reviews: Common Questions

How many reviews does AutoNorth have?

AutoNorth is rated 5.0 across 24 Google reviews. The shop opened on Cholette St in September 2025, so that rating has been built from scratch by customers who came in once and came back.

Where can I read AutoNorth's reviews?

On the shop's Google listing and on its Facebook page. Both are linked from this page and from the footer of every page on this site.

Can I leave a review even if something went wrong?

Yes, and please do. Call the shop first if the problem is fixable, because a review cannot repair a vehicle. Then leave the honest review either way, because a page of nothing but five stars is not much use to the next person reading it.

Does AutoNorth ask customers for reviews?

Reviews come from customers of their own accord. If you want to leave one, the Google listing and Facebook page are the two places that matter, and both are linked here.

Why does a review page matter when choosing a mechanic?

Because almost nobody can evaluate the work itself. You cannot see under your own car, so what other people experienced is one of the few genuine signals available. Read what reviews say rather than what they score.

Judge It Yourself

Book anything and see whether the inspection report matches what the reviews describe.
